From the traditional "mercados" in the Peruvian Andes to street markets in Asia, local farmers around the world gather to sell fresh produce to the public. Typically once or twice a week farmers join at a designated public destination like a park or parking lot to sell their goods.
Farmers' markets have given local residents the opportunity to enjoy the summer weather while shopping for organic fruits and vegetables. Many of these local markets offer much more than just fresh produce, including live entertainment, events and a number of vendors who offer hand-crafted items.
Many of our farm and ranch stays are involved with their local farmers' market. Why not enjoy a farm stay vacation and the food they are providing to their local communities. Support farmers' markets and visit one near you; it's fun and a great family-friendly activity.
Our farm and ranch stays listed below are greatly involved with or have a farmers' market in their community.
