Summary
This unique lodging in Nipomo is only a short drive from the sand dunes of Pismo Beach. It has farm animals and you can work for your lodging. Bill, the owner, is a strong environmentalist with a wild beard and passion for the natural world.
The farm is behind the house and protected by four very friendly German Shepherds. There are pigs, turkeys, horses, goats, chickens, and other animals for petting. The owner fills his days leading tours of the local habitat, tending to his animals, and entertaining hostel guests. The hostel sponsors dune hikes, carriage rides, bike rides, kayaking, backpacks and campouts.
There are two dorms with 6 beds in each. There is also a private room. If you take it in stride, laugh off the little things and have the right attitude, Bill's Farm Hostel is a cheap and interesting alternative for your vacation. Think of it as a destination/landmark in and of itself!
