Summary
A European-style bed and breakfast on a working organic farm. It overlooks a meadow, and is a short walk over the hill from the Sierra foothills village of Fiddletown and its historic buildings, and is only three miles from the Shenandoah Valley and its wineries.
"The Casa" is not just a Bed and Breakfast, but also a small working CSA (community supported agriculture) farm that produces vegetables, herbs, apples, olives and eggs for local farmers markets. This is an authentic farm stay. While the farmhouse is a new building constructed fifteen years ago, the Kaiser family, your host, has been on the land for over 50 years.
Set in the peace and quiet of the country, you will hear nothing but frogs at night, and birds awakening you in the morning. It offers a wonderful escape from city life, a place to unwind and ground oneself in authentic country life-- and even learn a bit about organic gardening before you head out to a local winery- or continue on to the High Sierra.
Two upstairs bedrooms offer a relaxing haven. Each room has aqueen-size bed, sitting area with comfortable chairs, a library of books and magazines and a radio. There is a shared (European-style) bath. Breakfast is served in your room or in the garden.
