Summary
Nestled in the Cherry Creek valley of Colorado, Cherry Creek Mountain Ranch offers guests the chance to experience ranch life the way the cowboys did, wide open skies, the open range, solitude and tranquility, camp fires, and good old country hospitality.
We are a small, family operated cattle ranch, and 100 acres of private land are waiting to welcome you. The original Cherry Vale School House built in 1926,was a one-room school house that served Cherry Creek Valley children for nearly 20 years. The Log Cabin is a new building...we like to say its "Rustic Plush". Explore, hike, or relax in the hammock by the creek. The horses love visitors (and carrots) and the dogs will become your new best friends and offer to stay with you in your cabin. You can help with chores at feeding time with the cattle and horses.
We are close to the San Juan National Forest, with miles of horse, hiking, and ATV trails. Mesa Verde National Park is a short 30 minute drive. And Durango with all its attractions and activities is just a short drive away.
Come visit! You’ll feel like part of the family. Dogs are welcome too, as long as they are well behaved.
