Summary

Experience a quaint rural farm and the nearness of historic sites and major cities. Located in North Guilford, the center of historic Guilford is only 15 minutes away and the cultural center of New Haven is 25 minutes. Our farm house has been in the Bartlett family since it was built in 1784.

Farming was not the family's occupation, but a way of life. Their profession and contribution to the community structure and economy was providing lumber through logging and operating a sawmill. The current Bartletts continue the tradition of self sufficiency maintaining a working and productive farm. They invite you to experience a slice of history at the B&B at Bartlett farm. The house was updated in the 1990's, while the surrounding farm is a work in progress.

Bartlett Farm is active year round, maple syruping in late winter, maintaining a small garden, and haying fields throughout the spring and summer, fall foliage in October and finishing the year with Christmas trees. The farm has a menagerie of animals that require daily care and attention, including Fallow deer, a buffalo and donkey, pigs, ducks, cattle and sheep.

The Bed and Breakfast is located in a large white house with a wrap around porch. There are three guest rooms in the house and we serve a continental plus breakfast on weekdays and a full farm style breakfast on weekends. We try to include the foods produced on the farm when seasonally possible.
