Summary

At Hedonisia Hawaii we strive to promote environmentally friendly policies in our few acres of Hawaiian Paradise! We are a small farm located about 4 miles from the town of Pahoa and 3 hours drive from Kona. We are only 16 miles away from the Kalapana active volcano lava flow. We have restored the land from its past use as a car junkyard to a lush tropical Garden of Eden with many delicious fruit trees and beautiful tropical plants.

The stars at Hedonisia are the beautiful flowers and marvelous variety of fruits and perennial vegetables. We do not use chemical fertilisers or pesticides on the plants at Hedonisia. We use natural green waste mulch that we generate from our compost or weeds. Guests and Volunteers have the right to harvest any of the many agricultural crops we have growing on the property. This provides us a farming income as well as saves us the labor cost of actually harvesting our crops and selling them at the market. It allows guests and volunteers the opportunity to enjoy an eco-friendly vacation and work and eat at a farm.

Our Guest and Volunteer Lodgings are eco-friendly temporary structures designed with sustainable natural resources or salvageable building or other materials. Much of the materials used for construction of Ocean View, Guava Hut, Jungle Hideaway, Avocado Tent and Bamboo Hut are either from natural renewable sources such as bamboo or is recycled from items that would have otherwise ended up in a landfill. The distance to the closest beach (Kehena Beach) is 10 miles away. We are also located 4 miles away from natural steam vents, and warm ponds, approximately 6 miles away from tide pools great for snorkeling and swimming with turtles.
