Summary
Bluffdale has been welcoming guests to our historic Illinois farm near Eldred, Illinois since 1963. This 320-acre working farm offers the "classic" farm experience with a 150+ year-old, cozy stone farmhouse and lots of animals. Kids can helps with the daily farm chores such as collecting eggs, feeding the chickens and tending to the animals.
The farm accepts guests from mid-March through mid-November, and special children's rates are offered. Recreation activities include horseback riding, boating, fishing, swimming, hayrides, bonfires, singalongs and more.
Bluffdale is famous for its generous home cooked meals with homebaked bread, rolls and pies. Our luxury cabins, featuring a fireplace and hot tub, are ideal for romantic getaway weekend or honeymoon bed & breakfast lodging.
Spring brings a wide variety of wildflowers and morel mushrooms. In fall the bluffs make a colorful drive and eagle watch from Alton, Illinois to Bluffdale along the Great River Road, a National Scenic Byway.
