Summary
In 2007, when Darlene Rose found this breath-taking haven in Munfordville, minutes off I-65, and met Kentucky’s friendly people, she knew this was the perfect place on earth for her to fulfill her lifelong dream of running a bed and breakfast on a working farm and cooking in great big pots. As Innkeeper, her intent is to allow guests to be immersed in farm-style “green” living in a relaxing, interactive way. Full Country Breakfasts and great story-telling around the table are a mainstay.
Come see our extensive all-natural garden full of produce, herbs, and heirloom varieties during the growing season. This bounty often finds its way to the Dining Room table throughout the year as we work toward consistently providing meals that are seasonal, local, and all-natural.
The farm-stay encourages a hands-on approach to our guests. Activities include gathering chicken eggs for breakfast, feeding goats, petting horses, moving livestock to new pasture, planting, mulching, gathering or processing the harvest from the garden! Everyone on a farm is important – whether animal, vegetable or you! Individual/Group Farm Tours are available by reservation. Guests are encouraged to recount their own “farm” experiences and make new ones as memories flood into the conversation of long ago visits to “grandma on the farm” and “making ravioli on the kitchen table” to “running through the neighbor’s cow pasture” as a child.
