Summary
Old Kentucky Stables Bed and Breakfast is a working American Saddlebred Horse farm. On any given day you may see us training horses, working with the newborn colts, breeding mares and any and all other aspects of everyday life on a American Saddlebred Horse Farm. We are "The Oldest Saddlebred Farm in Continuous Operation in the U.S." and have had numerous Champions and some World Champions. We breed, raise, train, show, trail ride and sell our American Saddlebred horses.
The main residence on the farm was constructed around 1850 for Dr. O. N. Cox whose grandfather, Isaac Cox had fought in the Revolutionary War and had received a land grant of part of this same farm for his military service rendered to the newly formed United States.
We have a 4 bedroom facility. A beautiful pre-civil war Italianate design home with over 5000 square feet. Situated on a working horse farm. Full breakfast and continental breakfast. Children welcomed, no pets please.
