Summary
A birdseye view of CCF may be spectacular but you really have to walk the property to appreciate its beauty.
So, c'mon along. From the classic English garden that fronts the main house up and through the low fieldstone walls then past the birdhouse and around to the perennial beds and waterfall that grace the backside where you might choose to tarry awhile just to listen to the Warblers sweeten one of Maine's prettiest views.
And when (if?) you rouse yourself from your reverie (I'm never going back!) the Cove will beckon and after just a stop or two along the way, you'll spot a hammock splayed invitingly at river's edge and as you settle in, the mantra will begin: "No, I'm really serious this time. Really."
"Call the boss. I'm not coming home."
"Really ...I'm not."
We figure you won't be spending much time inside, given what lies outside your door. But when you do, we think you'll find both the Orchard Apartment and Cider Apartment to be inviting and accomodating. They are available from June 1 through the last Sunday in October. Each is air conditioned, tastefully furnished, and has its own private deck overlooking the orchard and Cove. For weddings, they are included for the night of the reception. Stay for a night, a weekend, or as long as it suits you. You'll be hard pressed to run out of things to do. Rates for either the Orchard or Cider apartment are $120/night and $740/week.
