Summary
We are Maine’s first certified “Environmental Leader” green lodging accommodations with a wind turbine plus extensive solar electric and hot water systems. We are set far back from the road, surrounded by tranquil fields and woods. Our 130 acres surrounds you with peaceful serenity, or provides you with opportunities for endless exploration. When you arrive, be sure to ask for our trail map for walking, hiking, running, snowshoeing, or cross-country skiing on our property or neighboring 800+ acres of public land.
The view from our front porch, where you can sit sipping sun-brewed iced tea or a cold Maine microbrew and view our farm animals frolicking in the pasture. On the bench there, joining our guests, is our cat Maxine who is all black except a small white spot. We also have a farm animal menagerie in the barn down by the road. There is also a lot of wildlife around our farm, including many birds at our feeder year-round, white-tailed deer in the field in the early evening, the occasional moose that crosses the field, and even wild turkeys in the yard or even crossing our driveway!
Perfect for both the leisure and business traveler, we offer the comfort of a small country inn with modern conveniences such as phones, televisions, and high-speed internet access. Our custom-cooked breakfast includes our own farm-fresh eggs, and we have a menagerie of farm animals especially llamas. Some rooms offer huge double whirlpool tubs, fireplaces, and private decks.
