Summary
Our farm is small. We have flocks of 20 sheep, 35 chickens, and 10 ducks -- all heritage breeds. The garden and orchard provide vegetables, berries, and fruit.
As a farm stay guest, you may participate in farm life as much or as little as you like, observing the process of getting food from field to table and being part of the process. You might want to feed the sheep, ducks, and chickens. Collect eggs warm from the nest, or help our Border Collie, Cody, herd the sheep. In summer you're welcome to work in the garden and to harvest all the seasonal vegetables you can eat. In winter you can enjoy fires in the living room fireplace or go sledding or cross country skiing. You’ll learn about heritage breeds and how to raise them, get tips on cooking grass-fed, free-range animals and poultry, and enjoy the wonderful natural produce of the farm and garden.
Or you can relax in the peace and quiet of our lovely rolling fields overlooking the Westport River, visit beautiful Horseneck Beach on Buzzards Bay or the Coastal Wine Trail. It's all your choice.
Guest accommodations include a large suite with cathedral ceiling in the bedroom, a small balcony overlooking the river, and a new bath with jacuzzi tub. Children may stay either in the main suite or in smaller guest rooms down the hall. Farm breakfasts are included in the room rate. Farm or locally sourced dinners are an extra charge.
