Hillside Homestead a historic farmstay welcomes you to visit & travel back in time. Experience an authentic 1910 farmhouse where the food is cooked on a wood stove. Discover this idyllic farm nestled in the rolling hills of Leelanau County.

You can relax in the parlour or on the porch. Watch the chickens. Walk the orchard. You will feel time slow down as you savor your experience, authentic in detail & warming to the heart.

We offer our guests several ways to experience our farm. Four charming guest rooms with iron beds dressed in crisp linens & soft pillows and private bathrooms. Rocking chairs nestled up to windows that offer beautiful pastoral views. A delicious farm breakfast is cooked just for you in the morning and make sure to help yourself to the homemade goodies in the cupboard.

Schedule a farm dinner, a very unique experience for your group! A menu will be planned just for your group, using historic recipes and local food, much of it we grow and raise ourselves! Some folks even like to help in the kitchen! Cooking classes are offered such as Pie Baking and Wood Stove Cooking & one free public events in October, “The Apple Bee”.
