Summary
We invite you to Laurel Brooke Bed and Breakfast, nestled in a grove of trees on 40 acres surrounded by a pecan grove, fruit orchard, and vineyard.
Located seven miles north of Weston on one of the highest hills in Platte Country, this barn was renovated by Amish craftsmen from Jamesport, Missouri. Their craftsmanship is not only displayed in the barn but also in the brick pillars at the entrance, the wooden windmill by the barn, picnic tables, and the picket benches. The stone fireplace in the gathering room, constructed by the Amish, was made from stone found on the property.
A turn-of-the-century oak table from the local Salem Christian Church welcomes guests for breakfast. The wooden interior oak doors from the St. Charles Hotel in St. Joseph, Missouri, and the large windows in all of the bedrooms from Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, help set the antique tone for decorating.
All bedrooms have antique furnishings including push button switches, taking you back to an era of the past. You will find items used in the decor that are reminiscent of a working barn.
Whether you take a stroll through the meadows, curl up by the fireplace, or relax in the hot tub, Laurel Brooke Bed and Breakfast is a peaceful country getaway you will want to come back to.
