Russ Kipp, a 6th generation Montana native, established Montana High Country in 1979. Over the past quarter of a century he and his wife Karen have shared this spectacular part of Southwest Montana with countless guests. Many have become very close family friends returning year after year.
Our guest ranch and lodge is located in the Grasshopper Valley of Southwest Montana. Out our backdoor we have over a half million acres of Montana’s most pristine backcountry, a true sportsmen’s and nature lover’s paradise. Our God’s country location is home to the best trout fishing, horseback riding, big game hunting and snowmobiling Montana has to offer.
