Come to a Montana Ranch and LIVE YOUR DREAMS!! Ride all day through valleys and to the tops of Mountains. Enjoy long canters. Chase cows and learn to rope. If you're a beginner you will learn to really ride and get your horse to do what you ask. You will probably be cantering by the end of the week. We love our horses and share them with our guests. We use Parelli Natural Horsemanship and share our knowledge and experience with all guests who are interested in learning about it.
The ranch has a Bio-diesel processing plant to convert the used vegetable-oil, through a series of washes and chemical process, into Bio-diesel in 80 gallon batches. This makes it possible to operate all the diesel engines on B-100 Bio-Diesel Fuel.
The Rocking Z Ranch has worked with Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks to fence Little Prickly Pear Creek away from all domestic livestock. This section of the creek that flows through the ranch is an important spawning zone for German Brown and Rainbow trout. We have observed lower water temperatures, reduced erosion and increased stream flow as a result from our efforts.
