Summary
The Saratoga Farmstead is an historically significant, lovingly restored farmhouse located on ten pastoral acres in beautiful Saratoga Springs, NY. This farm, build during The Civil War, has had a long and interesting history. It is now an environmentally-friendly, farm experience, bed and breakfast run by professional chef/innkeepers.
We have organic gardens both the help feed us and for the guests to enjoy picking and taking home. Most of the fields are left wild, used as a wildlife and monarch sanctuary (lots of milkweed). We have mowed paths through the fields so guests can get closer to the birds, bunnies, butterflies, deer and other critters that wander around the property. We recently contacted the SlowFoods organization to offer some the fields for community gardens.
There are seven bedrooms in the Farmstead, all individually appointed for comfort and privacy. Some of the rooms are designed to accommodate families. A full breakfast is served each morning at individual tables.
We are close to many horse farms, llama and alpaca farms, pick-you-own fruit and vegetable farms, country fairs and other experiences that combine with our place to create a farm experience.
