Summary
The Farm is a working farm on 118 acres, located in Ilion, New York, up the hill from the Mohawk Valley. The land is beautiful, with long vistas; a mix of woods, pastures and fields. This is very much a four season location. The spring is full of blooming flowers, birds and sweet smelling breezes. The summer is comfortable, green and lush, stars and fireflies fill the night sky, as well as all the fresh vegetables and bounty that summer offers. The fall is extremely colorful on rolling hills with big skies filled with billowing clouds. Winter is wintery and gorgeous.
We grow organic vegetables, have a CSA, farm stand and B and B. We are committed to sustainable agriculture and do not use chemical pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, growth hormones or antibiotics. We grow a broad array of colorful, heirloom, unusual and standard vegetables and flowers. We have 80+ chickens that roam where they wish and produce a full spectrum of colorful eggs. We have a 50 member CSA, are vendors at farmer's market in Clinton and Cooperstown. We also have a farm stand on the property. If you want, we always welcome help with chores.
Our 1872, Italianate farm house has two warm and welcoming private rooms with baths. We pay attention to sustainable practices, even in our home. Come stay with us. We are a great place to experience: for singles, for couples, for families with children of all ages.
