Settled in Juniper and Pinon pines at 7560' High Country Alpaca Ranch is a full time, working livestock operation, established in 2009. Owned and operated by John and Carolyn Fifield, High Country Alpaca Ranch is home to 32 alpacas, 9 Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dogs (LGDs), 2 house dogs, cats and chickens. Pastures and paddocks were carefully planned and constructed for easy access, animal interaction and viewing.
The Bunkhouse, secluded next door, is available for visits to the ranch all year round. It consists of a 16' x 70' prefab home, 2 bdrm, 2 bath, completely furnished and ready for your enjoyment. The Bunkhouse can be rented short term only.
Though the Bunkhouse is open for anyone, we specialize in serving families with children on the Autism spectrum. Past experience has proven to be an extraordinarily pleasant time for both visitors and owners.
