Summary
Ox-Ford Farm Bed and Breakfast Inn is part of an authentic working farm located on a slope off the Blue Ridge Parkway near Mount Mitchell in Western North Carolina. Beef cattle and pedigree sheep are raised here on steep mountain pastures with beautiful vistas all around. The history of the farm goes back to 1876, when it was given to a beloved daughter Nancy, who had just married the area's only country doctor. Many generations of their descendants were raised on the farm, and visitors to the family was always in abundance. Ox-ford Farm remains today a very special place for the people in our area.
The farmhouse is now a bed & breakfast inn, with four full bedrooms and three full baths. Furnishings are beautiful but distinctly comfortable. The atmosphere is very relaxed and homey. Our Roosters may wake you up in the morning for a stroll to watch our animals at their breakfast, or you may be opt for another hour or two of sleep. Breakfasts are exceptional, your choice, all naturally grown products including fresh eggs and home-baked bread.
