Summary
Our Vacation Rental home, located in SE Knox County, OH, is a unique log home, consisting of a restored 1833 log cabin, and a new 2001 log home, nicely integrated to provide a great location for families up to 13 people. Bring children, dogs, or even your horses and spend time exploring our three farms, located within about 4 miles of each other. The Weston House, which we use for lodging, is located on McKee Rd and has 55 acres. Our farm, nearby, is maintained as the original homestead, and is 115 acres. Our newest farm is more isolated, on a gravel road, and has 80 acres.
We raise Shorthorn beef Cattle and Katahdin sheep. We typically will have a herd of about 20 cows and calves. Our Katahdin sheep are part of the National Sheep Improvement Program, and are a variety of hair sheep. They will shed their wool in the spring, maintaining a sleek summer coat much like a goat. We have about 60 ewes, so spring around the farm is particularly entertaining with somewhere around 120 lambs. In addition to sheep and cows, we have Percheron Draft horses which we use for plowing/ harvesting, and a flock of banty Cochin chickens.
Additionally, there are miles of gravel roads to explore, and abundant beautiful rural scenery. Come kick-back at our house, enjoy the peaceful and quiet sounds of nature on the farm, and escape from your busy, hectic life.
Our farm vacation rental is the perfect place for the family to relax.
