Summary
There is plenty of activity on the Hitching Post Ranch: hiking, horseback riding, even stagecoach rides in an original stagecoach that carried U.S. mail in 1882. At certain times of the year you could get in on cattle drives and calf branding. We offer cookouts, campfire sing-alongs, and cowboy entertainment such as obstacle courses, roping and a whole lot more.
Out here there is always fence to fix, calves to brand and cows to move and feed. We do all of these chores the old fashioned way which sets us up to provide quality, family style hospitality. If you are 'itching' for a good time, or would like some much needed "down-time" give us a call or send us an email! We invite you to join us in a true old west experience in Black Mesa Country.
After experiencing the Hitching Post, you may be interested in having us coordinate your own old-fashioned ranch wedding in the hills under the trees by the river. For the sportsmen, we offer hunting and fishing. The ranch has deer, antelope, and quail.
