Summary

At Barking Mad Farm Bed and Breakfast it’s all about the views. Situated a stone's throw from Joseph, in the middle of Wallowa Valley’s Alder Slope, you can literally see for miles in every direction. To the south and west, the jagged cordillera of the Eagle Caps rises precipitously above the farms and fields. To the east, the vast Zumwalt Prairie rolls endlessly towards the snow-capped backdrop of Idaho’s Seven Devils Mountains. In addition to the dramatic surroundings, a majestic herd of buffalo graze nearby - a view back into time.

Barking Mad Farm Bed & Breakfast is a working cattle farm with a charming turn of the century farmhouse situated on 42 flat acres in one of the most incredible Alpine locations in the world. Friendly, peaceful and geared to making your stay perfect and unique, each large, comfortable bedroom has some of the most amazing views in the country, a private bathroom, and beds with deep, fluffy comforters for a perfect night’s sleep.

Pets and horses are always welcome. We offer a great, 8 acre ‘dog park’ for your pet to run in. Dog cookies, towels, and treats are available. There are over 4 million acres of the Hells Canyon and Eagle Cap wildernesses to explore. We can help you plan a day exploring the wilderness on horseback. Winter is a special time in Wallowa County…cross country skis, snowmobiles, even a downhill ski area and competitive dog sled racing.
