Summary
Draper Girls’ Country Farm offers a unique farm-stay experience. Come stay in the farmhouse the Draper Girls were raised in, and take in the sights and sounds of a scenic forty-acre orchard nestled at the foot of majestic Mount Hood.
Once here depending on the time of year, there are many ways you can contribute. If you stay during frost season, you can learn about what goes into saving the crops from freezing using wind machines and smudge pots. You can also help us tend the chickens, feed the sheep and goats, work in the extensive gardens and grounds that make up the orchard. Or not! It's entirely up to you.
Our farm stand is located next to the farm house and is a big attraction for tourists as we offer a unique u-picking experience during the picking season. Our stand, in season, is filled with fresh fruits (raspberries, cherries, peaches, apples and pears), vegetables, eggs, meats and our famous non-pasteurized apple ciders, the only licensed farm in Hood River County.
Draper Girls' Country Farm is ideally situated for your outdoor recreation pleasure. Located between top-notch ski areas, including Timberline Lodge, Mount Hood Meadows, and Ski Bowl, and just minutes from the wind-surfing and kite-boarding mecca Hood River.
The farm offers an excellent opportunity to learn about what makes Oregon's quality of life so touted. Hiking and mountain bike trails are within minutes of the farm, and historic downtown Hood River's shops and restaurants can charm even the choosiest patrons. There's something for everyone in the family at Draper Girls' Country Farm.
