Summary

At North Fork 53 we invite you to be a part of the 21st century homesteader movement.

Located on just under 4 acres, our 1930’s farmhouse is surrounded by permaculture gardens, original homestead apple trees, a fire pit, cobb pizza oven, and riverside decks. The Nehalem river drifts by, bringing fishermen with it, who cast for Chinook and coho salmon as well as steelhead and rainbow trout.

Our 2 acre farm supplies the beautiful vegetables for breakfast, morning eggs are provided by our happy laying hens, meat comes from neighbor farmers, dairy is plentiful in our county of Tillamook and seafood is straight from local fishing boats. We are proud to have our hands in each step of the food process, from soil to plate!

Located just 90 minutes from Portland and 15 minutes from some of the country’s most stunning beaches and epic mountain hikes, North Fork 53 is easily accessible, yet still off the beaten path. The nights are quiet and dark, allowing for spectacular star-gazing and restful sleep.

With a talented crew of organic vegetable farmers, permaculturalists, builders, welders, artists, chefs, wild-foragers, and naturalists here at North Fork 53, we have skills and passion to share with our guests! Experience farm life, ask us questions and attend a workshop--gain a skill that you can bring home and share with your friends! Our coastal community is brimming with bright creators of all kinds, eager to spread their knowledge of fiber arts, dairy farming, animal husbandry, bee keeping, cooking, preserving, fermenting, movement, meditation, coastal ecosystems, and much more.
