The Riverside School House Bed and Breakfast in Prairie City, Oregon, is located on a working cattle ranch near the Strawberry Mountain Wilderness area. Here, you will find plenty of opportunities for hiking, backpacking, fishing, horseback riding, bicycling, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling or relaxing in the nearby Blue Mountain Hot Springs.
You will awaken to the sounds of the John Day River only a few feet away and the sights of wildlife. At Riverside School House Bed and Breakfast, you will enjoy the breathtaking view of the Strawberry Mountain Range and be treated to a country breakfast, all in the privacy of your schoolhouse.
The School House was originally one room, but was later split into two rooms to accommodate the needs of the children. These two rooms now accommodate our guests with a living area and a bedroom. The barn where the horses were kept is still standing near the School House today.
