Summary
Buckland Farm is located in south central Bedford County, Pennsylvania. We are a working family farm, providing CSA member households with fresh herbs, produce, flowers, eggs, honey and shares in livestock.
You’ll find livestock in the barn and all around the property. If you and/or your kids want to help out with the care and feeding of our beasts, let us know ahead of time and we will plan for your participation. We have extensive vegetable gardens and an orchard on the grounds. If you fancy weeding, or want to harvest some produce, ask our head farmer for directions and we’ll be glad to have your help. Our pond is suitable for swimming, fishing and paddling around. It has plenty of room to play and exercise. There are lovely walking paths of various lengths and difficulty levels through the woods and around the fields.
We provide a 2-room suite of one’s own plus a private bath for your stay; also 3 additional bedrooms. Step onto the suite’s porch to enjoy the view of the pond, the Little Orchard, and our charming flower borders. Our rates vary by season and it is possible to rent the entire house.
At Buckland Farm Bed and Breakfast, the beds, pillows and sheets are organic. The towels and bathrobes are organic. The breakfasts are prepared from locally sourced, sustainably and organically produced foods by us. And they are cooked with your dietary restrictions and preferences firmly to the fore.
