Welcome to Sassafras Farms. We are a guest house and herb farm. Built in 1881, this Victorian home accomodates seven.
Our specialty is herbs. From April through September we sell over 300 varieties of herbs as individual potted plants and mixed containers. Also available are perennials, annuals and vegetable plants. Our selection of hot pepper plants and heirloom tomato varieties grows larger each year. Culinary herbs are grown and harvested for sale to markets, restaurants, grocery stores and the public. Our herbs are grown organically. We do not use chemical fertilizers or pest control.
You're welcome to enjoy the gardens while visiting Sassafras Farms. The shade, cottage, cutting, vegetable, herb and perennial gardens are designed to feature many of the varieties we sell. Perhaps you'll discover a plant you don't know or come away with an idea for using an old favorite in a new way. We enjoy taking these walks with our guests (time permitting) and will always be available to answer questions.
