Summary
Stillwaters Farm, located in the heart of West Tennessee, offers a 1000 square foot 2-bedroom 1-bath guest Cottage on property. The Cottage lends itself to a bygone era—a time when life was slow and simple. Horns and sirens, traffic and commerce are a rarity around here.
The Cottage provides our guests with an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life as well as from busy, attractions-based vacations. Because The Cottage is located in a rural area at the front edge of our 131-acre farm, wildlife abounds. Wild birds, butterflies, turkey, and deer are common sights. Occasionally, coyotes’ calls drift on the night air, and at any moment the comfort sounds of the country can be heard—a donkey’s bray, a dog’s bark, a horse’s whinny, the thrum of a distant tractor… All that’s needed is a good book and a nice hot cup of tea!
Birdwatchers are in for a real treat, as well, with a wide variety of local birds and migratory flocks, in season, picking our feeders clean. Hummingbirds joust for position at the nectar feeders the majority of the year. Our visitors participate in agritourism, learning the “rural” way of life, and leave the stresses of job and normal life behind.
In short, we allow our guests the opportunity to rest, relax, and participate in activities that they would otherwise never experience. At the farm, our guests can learn about gardening, livestock grooming, horse and dog training, facilities modifications, animal husbandry, crop harvesting, or any number of activities going on at the farm during their stay.
