Summary
Agarita Creek Farms is a working experiment in self-sufficient and sustainable family farming located in Fredericksburg, Texas. It is operated by Beverly and Tom Carnes, who have no previous farming or ranching experience, but who have an enduring commitment to farming and ranching in a responsible, sustainable, and humane manner, as shepherds to their flock and as stewards to their land.
We hope our farm and ranch will evolve into an educational resource for other actual or would to be farmers and ranchers. Contributing to the dialogue on issues such as sustainability, organic gardening and orcharding, raising grass-fed heritage livestock, and other topics.
Staying at Agarita Creek Farms you can expect to experience... A unique Texas "farm-stay" experience, in which guests can be exposed to farm life as little or as much as they would like. Scenic views from the cabins and along our trails. Spacious private log cabins perfect for a family getaway, or for just the two of you.
