The gate swings open, and you are instantly transported to a serene place looking as if it belongs in a travel brochure. Our peaceful haven, set on 2 acres, is a perfect little sanctuary in the middle of San Antonio, with a large swimming pool, outdoor shower and organic garden. We have all manner of chickens free-ranging our property as well as a peacock or two for added color .
We are Anne and Joe Barfield and have lived on this property since 1980. We consider Chicken Paradise a refuge from the nearby city and enjoy hosting guests in our small, exclusive B&B. You have private run of the property and all that it offers. You will also have our undivided attention. We serve you a full gourmet breakfast on the patio by the pool, under the wisteria arbor, or in your suite if you prefer.
It's like renting a little cottage in the countryside for your holiday. Indeed, this is exactly the kind of trip that we love to take in France or Italy. We make daily trips, visit the local markets, see the sights and then come "home" to our little place in the evening. We would like to give you the same experience.
