Just north of the village, this strikingly handsome farm is a prizewinning, sixth-generation working dairy farm. Picturesque views of the green pastures, Danville Village, Green Mountains of Vermont and the White Mountains of New Hampshire can be seen from every room as well as the front porch. Bebo and Justin represent the 5th and 6th generation of Webster's to farm this very land. Explore the barns and hilltops for an unforgettable experience of Vermont's yesterday.
Spend a special vacation discovering Emergo Farm Bed and Breakfast. This family farm has been in operation since 1858 when the Websters' great-great-great grandparents began farming the 200+ acres still in use today. Hand-built connected farm buildings are fastened with pegs in traditional post-and-beam construction. The 1890 horse barn, 1897 three-story barn was once used for hay storage, hand milk 15 Jersey cows, house 2 work horses/ oxen and many chickens and pigs; don't forget to take a peek at the original outhouse!
Today, the Websters milk 90+ Holsteins in a modern free-stall milking parlor. Guests are encouraged to take our heritage tour on the "Dairy of Distinction" and learn first hand about farming in Vermont. "There's no extra charge for helping with the farm chores!"
