Spend a special vacation discovering Emergo Farm Bed and Breakfast. This family farm has been in operation since 1858 when the Websters' great-great-great grandparents began farming the 200+ acres still in use today. Hand-built connected farm buildings are fastened with pegs in traditional post-and-beam construction. The 1890 horse barn, 1897 three-story barn was once used for hay storage, hand milk 15 Jersey cows, house 2 work horses/ oxen and many chickens and pigs; don't forget to take a peek at the original outhouse!
Today, the Websters milk 90+ Holsteins in a modern free-stall milking parlor. Guests are encouraged to take our heritage tour on the "Dairy of Distinction" and learn first hand about farming in Vermont. "There's no extra charge for helping with the farm chores!"
