The scene: “Wonderful, welcoming, comfortable” are some of the words used to describe out farm stay by previous guests.
Designated as a 'Green Hotel Platinum Leader' our goal is to produce and promote locally grown food for our family and the public, provide an enjoyable experience for guests, whilst reducing our carbon footprint with good environmental practice.
Country charm and relaxing, eco-friendly, modern conveniences all hand in hand is our goal! Originally from England, we moved to Vermont for the rural idyll, bought farm land and started building, both farm and house. Our emphasis is on small numbers of sustainable heritage breed sheep, cows, pigs and poultry, and not forgetting the all important bees! A cottage garden and greenhouse are also in the mix. All produce is available to purchase.
Accompany us in feeding the animals, weed some vegetable beds, collect eggs or just come to relax under the shade of a tree by the pond. Whatever works for you, you are more than welcome.
Accommodation: We offer an a fully equipped apartment with its own entrance, living room, kitchen queen bedroom, twin bunkbeds and bathroom. Alternatively there is also a lovely queen room with private bath available with long range views on a room only basis.
Centrally located with easy access to Montpelier (our lovely, very small state capitol) and the Mad Valley we are easily accessible to points North, South, East and West.

Spring: New piglets, lambs, calves out in the field. Enjoy the spring sunshines warmth on our south facing deck, collecting sap from our buckets to boil on the stove. Possible mud season (always an adventure bit usually short lived 2-3 weeks, makes for an adventurous driving experience)!
Summer: Cooked a tasty steak from the farm cooked on the apt BBQ, collect fresh veggies from the garden, enjoy warm evenings on the deck, listening to the crickets or frogs in the distant pond, watch the first fireflies come out for the evening. Sit by the pond. Enjoy spectacular night skies away from any lights of a town. More stars then you ever imagined. Watch the animals silently graze in the pastures. Watch the guinea hens and ducks roam about through the beautiful wildflower banks looking for tasty treats.
Fall: So hard to capture on camera but the reds of the fall foliage can be unbelievable. Wake up to chilly misty mornings, pull the curtains and watch the day unfold and enjoy a good coffee whilst your feet are kept toasty by our radiant flooring. Stroll across our fields and watch the mist rise and the last warmth of summer envelop you. Find a few apple drops, feed them to the very appreciative cows!
Winter: The silence of snow! Sometimes it can be deafening. Mountains with fresh snow can be so beautiful. Enjoy complimentary use of our snow shoe trails and snow shoes. See our animals up close in their winters quarters. Short hop over to Sugarbush for skiing or skating. Stay warm and cosy and have a romantic night in, whilst the snow builds up outside.
