Summary
Situated on a 1200 acre working certified organic farm, our lovely guest house is the perfect place for an overnight stay, weekend getaway, or extended vacation. 'The Nest' is surrounded by 50 acres of meadows and offers exceptional views of the Green Mountains and Vermont countryside.
While at The Nest, enjoy the fragrance of sweet-smelling hay in our historic timberframe barns and visit our small but growing herd of friendly Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats. Haying starts in May and ends in October, while kidding season typically runs from March to May each spring. Each summer we harvest hay on 200 acres and fill our barns to the roof with thousands of bales. Throughout the year you may collect fresh eggs from our free-range chickens, and harvest organic veggies and cut flowers from our gardens during the summer months. Winter offers its own beauty at The Nest with snowshoeing and cross-country skiing available outside your back door or on groomed trails 15 minutes away.
Our central Vermont location (only 1.5 miles from the historic village of Brandon) provides easy access to local wine & cheese tours, hiking or biking trails, multiple ski resorts, and many area attactions that celebrate Vermont's rural heritage and agricultural landscape. A visit to The Nest is perfect in any season, and we invite you join us in the near future and allow us to share with you the simple beauty of farm life.
