Elmo's Rest is a farm vacation rental operated by Nancy and Danny Johnson on the fifth generation family farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.
From the first blossom in spring, to the creek-wading of summer, to the last crisp apple of fall, to the frost and ice of winter, there is time for you to relax or be active. There are ponds for fishing, trails to walk or hike, and animals to observe or pet. The farm is home to cattle, horses, burros, dogs, cats, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, rabbits, turkeys and other assorted types. Experience life on a real working farm!
There are opportunities for many recreational and cultural activities close to the farm that will make your vacation or reunion truly memorable.
The house is a roomy 1900's farm house furnished for comfort, convenience and a sense of history. Everything is furnished but the food and you! Elmo's Rest comes completely furnished to accommodate groups, families and couples. The kitchen is equipped with the basics or you can dine out - (either gourmet or fast food) 5-25 miles.
