This Orange, Virginia bed and breakfast features four guest rooms with amenities such as whirlpool tubs, flowers, exquisite linens, antique oriental rugs, early morning coffee outside your door, and a sumptuous breakfast in the dining room or on the garden patio. Whenever possible the fruits, meats, and vegetables are natural or organic. During the growing season many ingredients are products straight out of the Inn's gardens. Organic gardening and preparing fresh and nutritious meals are passions of the innkeepers.
Read yourself to sleep with a fascinating book on James Madison that you borrowed from the Inn's library. Find a quiet spot in the woods in one of the outside seating areas or on the porch to relax while taking in the fragrance of lavender and rosemary from the surrounding gardens. Afternoon wine and light appetizers are served each day at 5:00 pm. This is your time to relax.
We cultivate our own fresh flowers, fruits, vegetables and eggs (See Ziggy Stardust, our resident rooster and hen protector). Take a walk through the Inn's 15 acres. Smell the fresh air, pick your own berries or veggies and enjoy the view of the Orange countryside. Magnificent trees landmark the property. Black walnut, white and red oak, poplar, maples, hickory and cedar dot the landscape. It's difficult to believe that an area this rural is only 90 minutes from Washington, DC and Richmond.
