Located in the scenic New River Gorge area of southern West Virginia, The Ponderosa Lodge is the premiere farm stay for large groups in the Eastern United States. Situated on 16 very private acres in the Allegheny Mountains, our lodge features ten bedrooms and bathrooms accommodating up to 32 people. Our lodge is ideal for large group events such as church retreats, business retreats, family reunions, weddings and anniversaries, and hunting or fishing expeditions.
In the morning, learn about farm life by joining us as we gather eggs, feed and water farm animals, and pick fresh, organic fruits and vegetables from the gardens. Then, feast on a farm-raised breakfast which may include fresh eggs from our pasture fed chickens, bacon, sausage or ham from our farm-raised pigs, garden fresh fruits and vegetables, and homemade bread. The farm's focus is self-sustainability and we pass this information on to folks interested in learning more.
After breakfast, relax at the lodge or enjoy all of the exciting outdoor activities that the New River Gorge area is noted for, including whitewater rafting, rock climbing, fishing, horseback riding, tree canopy tours, boating, and hiking, which are all within easy driving distance.
