Brambleberry is Wisconsin's best farm bed and breakfast. Get away from it all and enjoy a romantic weekend in one of our beautifully appointed guest rooms and enjoy tasting wine at Brambleberry Winery. Book a wedding at one of our lovely outdoor venues. During the growing season our breakfasts incorporate as much produce as possible from our organic kitchen gardens. Enjoy walking beautiful, wooded private nature trails on our farm.
Every season is different on the farm. In the late-winter we tap our maple trees and make real maple syrup. The lambs are born in March and April. In May we begin planting the vegetable garden. Our flower borders are at their finest in June. Summer is also the time when we bale hay for our purebred Scottish Blackface sheep and Scottish Highland cattle. We also fatten our feeder pigs with food scraps from the table as well as corn and extra garden produce. The vegetable gardens need attention every day during the summer.
In the fall our pigs are butchered and we sell slaughter lambs and the rams breed the ewes for next spring's lambs. We also pick apples and are busy cutting wood which will heat our home over the winter.
Brambleberry is a part of a 600-plus acre family farm. We are one of Wisconsin's top 5 eco-elegant bed and breakfasts. We believe in a sustainable lifestyle and raise our animals in humane conditions.
Most of the year our breakfasts feature our own farm-fresh eggs and we are the only bed and breakfast in Wisconsin with a a full winery and tasting room on site. Guests can enjoy a variety of wines sourced from grapes grown around the world. We also serve pizzas and light snacks in the winery.
Staying on the farm doesn't mean you have to rough it. We have five lovely guest rooms, all with private attached bath. Most also have luxurious whirlpools, fireplaces and satellite TV, as well as an extensive book and video library. Our affordable rates range from only $110 to $175. There are many activities and things to do in the area such as biking on one of the nation's largest bike loops, orchards, hiking, canoeing and enjoying Amish farms.
The farm's woods feature abundant wildlife like deer, rabbits, turkeys, coyotes and the occasional bear! We have songbirds and game birds galore. Summer nights enjoy the song of the whippoorwill and gazing at the stars.
One of our favorite experiences while vacationing in England was seeing the many flocks of sheep grazing on pastoral, green hillsides, watching the lambs frolic and hearing the soothing sounds of sheep bleating. We raise purebred registered Scottish Blackface sheep and also have Scottish Highland cattle. The Scottish Blackface is the premier hill sheep of the Scottish Lowlands and has been in existence since the 1200s. We sell grass-fed lamb and grass-fed beef.
