Summary
Llaughing Llama Farm is a 460 acre farm with sheep, llamas, and horses. The land is rented for crops to a local farmer who produces soybeans, hay, corn and oats. The farm has 4 self-contained cabins in the woods. For years it has provided a retreat from city life.
Recently, the farm was purchased by a non-profit hunting club, known as Northwoods Retreat, not only for their personal use of the property during pheasant season, but also to continue to offer a getaway for others.
We have many llamas and horses that you may get acquainted with and help take care of during your stay at Llaughing Llama Farm. Many guests enjoy the time they get to spend with the animals on our farm.
On weekends you will find various club members coming to the farm helping make further improvements to the property. An example, an old wire fence was recently replaced with an attractive wood fence. Other plans include landscaping around the cabin areas, and converting the house into another available cabin and hunting lodge.
