Summary
We want to serve as your base of operations to enjoy all that the Big Horn Basin area of Wyoming has to offer. Ranch Soup is a place of agricultural endeavor willingly shared with those who are interested. It can be a place of learning or used as a retreat and haven in which to relax, regroup, and recharge. The ranch is the perfect location from which to enjoy a multitude of recreational and touring choices all over the region. This is largely due to its proximity to Yellowstone Park and because it is logistically centered in a gigantic bowl known as the Big Horn Basin.
"Ranch Soup" is the guest enterprise of Boreen Hay and Cattle Ranch. The name "Ranch Soup" comes from our conviction that just as a good soup, ranching and agriculture require a mix of complimentary and harmonious ingredients to provide a good result. Boreen Hay and Cattle Ranch is a working ranch often described as "progressive" in its efforts to achieve agricultural productivity. We manufacture our own bio-fuel. We use pod system irrigation, solar pumps for livestock watering, management intensive and rotational grazing, hydrolyzed fish in place of more traditional fertilizer applications, and brew and apply compost tea to our fields.
The ranch features a beautifully-appointed guest house. Each of the three guest rooms has a private entrance off the long, old fashioned porch that overlooks one of the ranch’s four ponds and includes Wyoming`s Big Horn Mountains as a backdrop to green fields. Each guest room has a queen-sized and a single bed, as well as a full bath. There is a full, shared kitchen. Reserve one, two, or all three guest rooms! The whole building can also be rented to accommodate a group of as many as ten people.
